UIC and CISS co-found digital sports research centre

On 28 March 2023, the China Institute of Sport Science (CISS) and UIC jointly established a digital sports research centre and a pre-meeting for the Xiangshan Science Conferences was held, gathering experts and scholars from elite universities and institutions.

The digital sports research centre will promote theoretical research and technological innovation in active health and digital sports. Representatives from the two parties shared their expectations towards the centre.

Prof Cao Jingwei, director of CISS listed several advanced technologies that were applied in the sports field and looked forward to cooperating with UIC to make more technological breakthroughs.

UIC President, Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences Prof Tang Tao said he hoped to construct collaboration on national research projects, talents cultivation, promoting health research in the Greater Bay Area and more.
