UIC staff and international students celebrated the Lantern Festival together with the Immigration Service Centre of the High-tech Zone in Zhuhai on 22 February 2024.

UIC Associate Vice President (Internationalisation) and Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Prof Pan Jianxin spoke at the event. He said that UIC is dedicated to contributing to the internalisation and cultural diversity of the community, and he hoped UIC's staff and students would learn more about traditional Chinese culture and promote cultural exchanges.

Activities including dragon dance and lion dance performed by the UIC Dragon Lion Dance Team, tangyuan making, lantern riddle guessing and Chinese calligraphy experience were organised for guests to feel the charm of Chinese traditional culture.





Also attending the event were UIC Provost Prof Patrick Chau, Associate Vice President (Student Development) and Acting Dean of School of General Education Prof Stella Cho, and officials from the Zhuhai government.
