At the 3rd CMAU National Market Research and Business Planning Competition for College Students in June, three UIC teams stood out from the other 2,902 and won one Grand Prize, one Second Prize and one Third Prize at the national level.

Head of the Department of Management from the Faculty of Business and Management (FBM) Dr Keng Hong Ng, was awarded the Top Ten Instructor of the Year Award as well as the Outstanding Instructor Award, and Dr Wei Xiaoyong, Dr Shan Shuo, Dr Wang Peng and Mr Hou Lei also won the Outstanding Instructor Award. The Best Institutional Organisation Award was given to UIC.
The Competition is a professional public service event organised by the Chinese Marketing Association of Universities (CMAU) and Credamo. It aims to enhance students' market research and business planning abilities. This is the first time UIC has participated in the competition, and FBM organised nearly 120 students from across the university to participate.
