New beginnings! UIC welcomes taught postgraduate students

UIC welcomed over 1,400 new taught postgraduate students on 31 August 2024, embarking on a journey that combines academic excellence and personal growth. UIC's international faculty and interdisciplinary programmes have attracted students from globally recognised institutions, including the University College London and the National University of Singapore.

UIC Associate Vice President (Teaching and Learning) and Dean of Graduate School Prof Huang Yu shared the growth and exciting opportunities of UIC, and previewed a series of upcoming cultural and sports activities.

Associate Dean of UIC Graduate School Dr Ricky Hou motivated the new students to learn more while utilising UIC's resources and bravely face future challenges.

UIC offers nine research postgraduate programmes and six taught postgraduate programmes. For the taught programmes, there are two newly added this year: the Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Technology and Management Programme and the Master of Science in Data Science with Concentration in Business Statistics Programme.
