
The University of Malaya, Malaysia and UIC signed an exchange agreement on 15 December 2016. This was the first partnership UIC has built up with a university in Malaysia.
During the 2017-2018 academic year, up to 2 UIC students can apply to study at the University of Malaya for one semester.

The University of Malaya, or UM, Malaysia's oldest university, is situated on a 922 acre (373.12 hectare) campus in the southwest of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. The University of Malaya intends to undertake teaching and learning, conduct research and services of quality, generate and advance knowledge through continuous improvement efforts for the benefit of all customers, in particular the students of the University of Malaya.
