Fourteen international interns joined UIC on 26 August. They are from Augsburg College, Concordia College, Gustavus Adolphus College, the College of St Scholastica, Bethany Lutheran College and Hamline University.
UIC Vice President Prof Zee Sze-Yong warmly welcomed the interns and expressed his expectations of the internship programme. At the welcome lunch arranged by UIC’s International Development Office, he pointed out the important role interns play in UIC’s teaching culture and hoped they would quickly adapt to life in China and enjoy their stay.
The welcome lunch was also attended by Associate Vice President Prof Lilian Kwan, Assistant Professor of the Chinese Language and Culture Centre Ms Jenny Cui and Intern of the English Language Centre Ms Grace McLagan.
