
Prof Wen Binli, Dean of the Faculty of English Language and Culture at the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, was invited to speak to a UIC audience on 29 September about the structure of English sentences and how it applies to translation.
His lecture focused on the significance of sentence structure in learning English and translating. He also gave his reflections on teaching translation based on some practical cases.

The lecture was organised by the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences.
