Published on 8 April 2021

Following Zhuhai's deployment and requirement to better prevent and control the epidemic, UIC organised its students and teachers to get COVID-19 vaccines. The Zhuhai High-tech Zone People's Hospital provided on-site vaccination service from 1 to 2 April. More than 3,000 staff and students have received the first jab.

From 8:30 am on 1 April, a professional medical team from the Zhuhai High-tech Zone People's Hospital carried out vaccination in T4 Staff and Student Activities Centre. At the same time, UIC staff and student volunteers assisted in maintaining the order on the spot.

Each area in the centre had staff responsible for conducting temperature measurement, registration, vaccination, observation and signature for applicants to ensure the efficient and orderly vaccination.

Medical personnel strictly checked the recipients' identity information, then asked about their health status, and inform the recipients of the vaccine varieties, functions, vaccination contraindication, adverse reactions that might occur, and other precautions.
