Project Supervisor of UIC's Centre for Social Management Research and Services, Mr Ng Yiu-Fai, said that the relevant rules and laws are significant in constructing accessibilities. The whole society should also participate together to ensure the right of the disabled to accessible facilities.
Also, he expected further improvement on accessible public facilities and transportation. Communities should provide portable barrier-free aids for circulation. Furthermore, the accessibility needs promotion by educators, social workers and volunteers, delivering correct understanding to social accessibility at schools and communities.
