On 23 September, UIC carried out the 10th election for deputies to the people's congress in Xiangzhou District as the 150th electoral district.

At 9:00 am, with two polling stations set in Zhonghe Square and the Teaching Building T5, the election process started. The voters check the list of candidates before filling and sending the ballot, and staff from the election committee verified voters' identities.


According to statistics, a total of 218 students and staff voted in the election, with a participation rate of about 70%. The voting calculation was conducted by nine staff members of the election committee. As a result, Mr Li Jianhui was elected the new deputy to the People's Congress of Xiangzhou District.

The election was responsible by UIC's Party Committee Office involved with other departments. During the election, the Office implemented with the guidance of the Xiangzhou District election committee, the Tangjiawan election committee, and the UIC election group.
