A summer full of harvest for UIC students

Published on 9 September 2022

Many UIC students had an enjoyable and meaningful summer vacation by joining UIC's summer programmes.

Some students selected programmes held by UIC or Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), deepening their understanding of their major while having interdisciplinary-study experience.

Besides enriching knowledge, summer courses also enabled them to think outside the box and prepared them for future academic life.

Meanwhile, some UIC students attended courses provided by world-renowned universities, including Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, The National University of Singapore, ESADE Business School, The University of Glasgow, and so on.

These students had close interactions with teachers and students worldwide, enhancing their abilities in teamwork, self-study, reading and writing in English.

In addition to learning knowledge in class, UIC encourages students to learn from the outside world.

Some UIC students took part in the Silk Road Programme, learning about culture and history by riding bikes around Qinghai Lake and camping in deserts; some joined groups to experience Tibetan customs, and others visited ceramics museums and learned knowledge on archaeology and ceramic manufacturing in Jingdezhen.
