UC Berkeley Extension explores cooperation with UIC

Associate Dean and Chief Operating Officer from University of California Berkeley Extension (UC Berkeley Extension), Mr Scott Shireman, paid a visit to UIC on 3 April. The purpose of this visit is to explore cooperation between University of California Berkeley Extension and UIC.

UIC’s Associate Vice President, Prof George Wei; Director of International Development Office (IDO), Dr Katharina Yu; and Assistant Director of IDO, Ms Li Mei represented UIC.

The two parties discussed study abroad opportunities, possible summer programmes as well as internship programmes. After the fruitful meeting, both parties agreed that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed in the future.

UC Berkeley Extension (Extension) is the continuing education branch of the University of California Berkeley. Extension offers more than 2,000 courses each year, including online courses, with more than 75 professional certificates and specialized programmes of study.
