MoU signed with University of Technology Sydney

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between UIC and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), which is based in Australia, on 14 March. The purpose of this MoU is to promote cooperation between UIC and UTS in joint researches, teaching, course development, participation in seminars and academic meetings for staff as well as foundation and articulation programmes.

Delegates from UTS were Vice President (Global Partnerships) Mr Liu Mian; Associate Vice President (Research Relationships China) and Distinguished Professor Zhang Chengqi; as well as Program Coordinator (Research Relationships China) and Lecturer for the Centre for Artificial Intelligence at UTS, Dr Jiang Jing.

In the meeting attended by UTS delegates and UIC’s senior management, UIC President Tang Tao introduced the background and basic information of the College. Mr Liu Mian mentioned how UIC using English as the teaching medium helped equipped students who are planning to study abroad with special advantages.

“As the first college introducing liberal arts education in Mainland China, there are some difficult obstacles for UIC to achieve," UIC’s Associate Vice President George Wei said. "It is expected that we will complement each other through learning and communication.”
