The lunchtime concert series started again on 21 September, with its first performance of the 2018-2019 academic year. This concert featured students Ye Zijin and Wang Lixuan as they both performed beautiful piano solos.
Zijin (Applied Translation Studies, Year 4) and Lixuan (English Language and Literature Studies, Year 3) are from the UIC Soloists piano programme. They entertained the audience by performing Chopin’s Ballade No. 1 in G minor, Robert Schumann’s Abegg Variations, and Edward Elgar’s Salut d'Amour.

English Language Centre (ELC) lecturer Chris Dockstader said “The romantic piano played by one of the students was not only incredibly moving, but incredibly difficult”. He thinks it is nice that the Division of Culture and Creativity (DCC) offers some elegance during lunch.

The Music Minor Programme in the DCC offers weekly concerts, regularly on Fridays from 12:15pm to 12:45pm located in the Music Recital Hall CC105.
