The 5th 24 Frames and Creative Media Festival, hosted by United International College (UIC), will be held in Zhuhai on 27 April 2018. Included works will come from domestic and foreign film and television schools.

Calls for submissions for the 5th 24 Frames and Creative Media Festival began on 1 December 2017 and will be closed on 1 April 2018. The festival awards prizes in the categories of: Best Feature Film, Best Documentary, Best Animated Film, Best Micro-Movie Advertisement, Best Director, Best Script, Best Advertising Video, Best Music Video, Best Network Popularity Award and many others. In addition, the improvisation and film creation segments also award a Best Film and Best Team award. In order to create a successful training base for cinema and television in Southern China, UIC has successively organized four sessions of the 24 Frames and Creative Media Festival. Hundreds of creative works from college students all over the nation are showcased annually, engaging domestic and foreign experts, including well-known directors and screenwriters in film and television. The 4th 24 Frames and Creative Media Festival in 2017 showcased more than 300 excellent works from more than 100 colleges across the country. The mentor team this year is comprised of: Winner of the Golden Horse Award for Best New Director, Youning Li; Hong Kong Senior Director, Liangjun Zhao; National First-Level Photographer, Tianlin Wang and Senior Producer, Bing Yao.
Additionally, this year’s festival will hold various cultural and artistic activities, including mentor sessions, poster exhibitions and equipment exhibitions, along with other activities to provide college students with a high-quality platform to display their work.
UIC is the first university jointly organized by mainland China and Hong Kong. It was specially approved by the Ministry of Education in 2005, and adheres to the spirit of liberal arts education and whole person education, while focusing on cultivating students' humanities and arts literacy. The 24 Frames and Creative Media Festival, which is held annually by the Cinema and Television department, has enjoyed a certain reputation in the domestic industry.
