UIC inks exchange programme with Northern Michigan University

UIC went further in its internationalisation effort by signing a Memorandum of Understanding and Agreement for Global Education Exchange with Northern Michigan University, USA, on 6 September.

This will add an additional exchange destination to the current 35 locations for UIC students to study. Currently, UIC students can participate in exchange programmes in the UK, France, Germany, Canada, Australia, Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, among others.

Representing Northern Michigan University were Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Dr Kerri Schuiling; Vice-President for Extended Learning and Community Engagement, Dr Steve Paul Vanden Avond; and Faculty Director for International Initiatives, Dr Yan Zhao Ciupak.

At the Administration Building of the new campus, they met with the Deans of UIC’s four Divisions: Dean of the Division of Business and Management, Prof Stella Cho; Dean of the Division of Culture and Creativity, Prof Aaron Chiu; Dean of the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof Mei-hwa Sung; Dean of the Division of Science and Technology, Prof Stephen Chung; as well as Director of International Development Office (IDO), Dr Katharina Yu, and Assistant Director of IDO, Ms Mei Li.
