Director of International Development Office (IDO) Dr Katharina Yu and Assistant Director Ms Mei Li represented UIC to attend the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) Conference 2017 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, from 20 to 23 March.
They aimed to keep up with the currents trends of internationalisation in the Asia Pacific Region, to reconnect with partners and to expand UIC’s international network.

The conference theme was “New Era, New Horizon, and New Frontier: Higher Education in Asia Pacific.” The sub-themes included “Globalisation Trends and Corresponding Strategies,” “International Research Collaboration,” “Student Mobility and Support Services,” “Benchmarking and Assessment of Higher Education,” as well as “Digital Media Innovations in International Higher Education.”
