The International Development Office (IDO) announced the 2016 Fall Semester Exchange Programme at an information and sharing session on 23 February. UIC will offer its students 35 exchange seats in 14 overseas partner institutes from six countries: South Korea, Germany, France, the UK, the US and Canada.
For the first time, students will have the opportunities to exchange to Eureka College, Hendrix College, Swansea University and St Mary’s University.

IDO Director Dr Katharina Yu gives opening remarks at the information session
IDO Director Dr Katharina YU encouraged students to seek advice from their programme directors for suitable overseas programmes. Staff members from IDO and Academic Registry introduced general information about the exchange programmes, informing students of the units transfer and application procedures.
Zhu Xiaoqing, a Year Two Marketing student, said she learned a lot about different cultures when studying at Science Po, France last semester. Doing volunteer jobs and visiting a refugee camp made her more tolerant towards other cultures.
Another four students who studied abroad shared that their experiences not only broadened their horizons but also changed their ways of thinking and views on the world.
