Students win prizes at national advertising art design contest

UIC students received a number of prizes at the Seventh National Advertising Art Design Competition for College Students on 21 September. A national third prize and a provincial first prize went to a team of Cinema and Television (CTV) students for their production of a video advertisement. Public Relations and Advertising Programme (PRA) students earned two provincial first prizes in the print advertisement group.

In addition, some other participants received national and provincial awards of merit for their various types of submissions to the contest.

The awardees’ advisors were granted the honour of Excellent Advisors at the Guangdong competition phase. They were CTV’s Programme Director Prof Evelyn Mai, who is also Associate Dean of the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences, Assistant Professor Geoffrey Marschall, and PRA’s Programme Director Dr Hu Fan.
