Awards for excellent academic performance during the Academic Year 2013-2014 were presented to 385 students, 135 more than the year before, at the Scholarship Presentation Ceremony on 10 December.
UIC President Prof Ng Ching-Fai said that the number of recipients of the Second Class Award (235) almost doubled that of the year before under the same selection criteria, which showed students’ enhanced academic achievements.
He encouraged students not to be satisfied with “merely academic results”, but “aim even higher in moral standards and communal contributions.”

New scholarships were added to the list of 13 types, including the National Scholarship, the Hong Kong Principal’s Scholarship, the Guangdong Government Outstanding Foreign Student Scholarship, and the China Unicom Scholarship.
