United International College and Concordia College, Moorhead, MN, USA, signed the agreement for global education exchange at a meeting hall in UIC in the morning of November, 17, 2008.
Prof. Edmund Kwok, Executive Vice President of UIC and Dr. Pamela Jolicoeur, President of Concordia College signed the agreement. Guests from Minnesota Private College Council and UIC faculty members also attended the signing ceremony. The agreement will be effective as of the first day of December, 2008.
According to the agreement, this partnership in global education seeks to foster excellent and unique liberal learning experiences, to support professional development and academic enrichment, to further scholarly knowledge to promote greater cultural understanding and to equip students for global citizenship.
Students who are interested in the Exchange Student Programme are required to provide a language proficiency proof, reporting of transcripts and meet other basic academic requirements. Students have to submit an application to IDO before January 16 for the following fall semester and before March 6 for the spring semester. Besides, all exchange students shall remain registered and pay tuition and tuition-related fees directly to their home institution.
