Oct. 20, UIC – A delegation of the Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers (HKFEW) visited UIC today as part of their exchange activity in the University Districts of Guangzhou and Zhuhai.

They attended the Hong Kong Admission Seminar at UIC, during which they listened to introduction to UIC’s founding background, education philosophy and teaching approach. They also discussed detailed admission issues with UIC representatives.
UIC Deputy Director Prof. Zee Sze Yong introduced that as the first college that jointly founded by one major university from Hong Kong and one from Mainland China, UIC provided Hong Kong students an ideal study and exchange platform and space for development. He said that UIC had achieved a great success in student admission in Hong Kong last year and was hopping to increase the admission quotas gradually in the future. As the connection between Hong Kong and Mainland China is getting stronger, Hong Kong should seek to enhance the communication and exchange between the two sides. Therefore, he hoped that more Hong Kong students would come to study at UIC and become a force to link Hong Kong and the Mainland closer together.
Representatives of UIC also made detailed introduction to the Whole Person Education approach, and the study and living of the students at UIC. The education philosophy and educational model of UIC were high praised by the Delegation.
