May 25, a series of lectures of “Health Education Lecturers’ Group” organized by Zhuhai Municipal Administration of Health, Zhuhai Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Zhuhai Health Education started at UIC. Mr. Zhang Yin, member of the Lecturers’ Group gave students a lecture titled “Another Side of the Fair Cigarette”.
Mr. Zhang Yin started the lecture by asking “those who don’t smoke please hands up”. When he saw almost all students put up their hands, Mr. Zhang smiled and nodded, “this indicates that the No-Smoking movement in your college develops quite well.” An easy atmosphere covered the lecture room and shortened the distance between the lecturer and the audience.
Mr. Zhang then continued to talk about the four foundation stones of a healthy life, revealing the other side of cigarette that covered by its fair appearance. His explanation was so simple and interesting that laughter constantly exploded in the lecture room.
Zhuhai Municipal Center of Disease Control and Prevention will officially launch the “Zhuhai College Student No-Smoking Movement” at UIC on May 31, the World No- Smoking Day, hoping that the movement will have a good start at UIC and then spread out in the whole Zhuhai University District.
