December 5th, 2006, the president of the Saint Mary's University, Dr. Colin Dodds came to UIC together with the coordinator Mr. Bill Bu, and signed the related contracts to establish cooperative relationship with UIC.

Dr. Dodds and Mr. Bu came to UIC campus in the afternoon. Based on an understanding made through communication before their arrival, they are interested in the articulation programme and students' exchange programme at UIC. They signed a Memorandum of Understanding, Articulation Agreement and Student Exchange Agreement with UIC after a short discussion.

Saint Mary's University is a traditional university with a history over 200 years in eastern Canada. Since the establishment of this cooperative relationship between Saint Mary's University and UIC, students will be able to apply and go to Saint Mary's University as exchange students or else study there after they have finished their first two years and have got the associate degree at UIC. It is good news for any students who want to study abroad as they have more choices at the partner universities of UIC.
