On 15 December 2006, Mr. Fun Sun Kwan, Honorary Academician of Hong Kong Baptist University and Managing Director of Kwong Yee Wo Shipyard Co. Ltd., visited UIC.
Mr. Fun Sun Kwan is concerned about teenagers' education and development. He has sponsored many schools and hospitals in several provinces of mainland China and a social service center in Hong Kong. UIC also received sponsorship from Mr. Fun last year. During his short visit he paid great attention to the development of UIC and its students.
Prof. Kwok, executive vice-president of UIC, introduced development and achievement UIC has reached since founded. Mr. Fun admired the achievement and hoped that as the pioneer of cooperative higher education between mainland and Hong Kong, UIC could make more contribution for China higher education in the future. Then Mr. Fun visited UIC campus and talk with UIC students. He encouraged students to study hard and to be a capable man.
