The 1st UIC Master of Ceremonies (MC) Competition

Published on 11 May 2007

The 1st UIC MC Competition was held successfully on 22nd April. This MC Competition, aimed at choosing talented hosts (MCs) for future UIC activities, was organized by the UIC Activity Club Association.

The competition was very keen. There were 6 participants who outshone the others and entered the finals. The final competition consisted of individual and group sections to find out who was the best in oral expression, performance, personal charisma and so on. Much applause was given for the contesters’ great performance.

This competition attracted a large audience. The audience voted for The Most Energetic MC. There were also other titles such as The Best Performing MC and The Most Cooperative MC. A group of SAO staff and student representatives formed the panel of judges. They chose Wang Hao (Finance sophomore) as the champion of this competition, Yin Tingting (Accounting freshman) as the first runner-up and Hu Rong (International Journalism freshman) as the second runner-up.

Apart from the awards, the champion and the first runner-up have also received an invitation to emcee their first performance. They will be the MC of the upcoming UIC Student Ambassadors Competition. We are all looking forward to it.
