4 November 2006, HKBU MBA Alumni visited UIC and met President of UIC, Prof. Ng Ching-fai, and Vice Executive President of UIC, Prof. Kwok.
The alumni arrived at the International Centre at 2pm and had a meeting immediately after their arrival. Following the meeting, they went for a campus tour and met both Prof. Ng and Prof. Kwok.
A discussion about cooperation was held and Prof. Kwok, Dr. Vincent Kwan, Dr. Kevin Zhen, Dr. Ricky Hou, the Deputy Register, Ms. Mona Sun, the Director of the Development and Public Relations Office, and Ms. Lilian Li, the assistant of Prof. Kwok joined the discussion.
The alumni first introduced themselves and also their perspectives to UIC. Some of them shared the experience of their children in UIC and all of them appreciated the teaching approach of UIC very much. The open and practical way of education is attractive to students. The parents are satisfied that their children are interested in learning now.
Prof. Kwok then had a free talk with the alumni and brought forward the cooperation between the alumni and UIC in the future. He mentioned establishing the parent network to help students’ job recruitment after graduation. The alumni are enthusiastic about Prof. Kwok’s idea and they promised they would try their best to help when they are needed.
Dr. Vincent Kwan later introduced the new programme of Division of Business and Management. The new programme is aimed at enhancing and broadening knowledge in professional accountancy and finance. The alumni showed great interest in the new programme. When they talked about establishing the research institute, the alumni suggested that they could help at the launching ceremony of the research institute. The alumni were warm-hearted and the discussion went successfully.
