15 July 2006, 21 students and parents from HK visited UIC. Organized by UIC Hong Kong office, these visits aimed to help more Hong Kong students know something about UIC and get an opportunity to study here at UIC as well.
Deputy Registrar Ricky HOU said that UIC is trying to be an international University. And UIC also strives towards a healthy and balanced development in all students.
"It would be a great interest studying in UIC," said a form six student. "Although it's far away from home, it's a big challenge. We can meet different faces from different places in such an international environment, and most importantly I can learn what I'm interested in under such a Whole Person Education philosophy. Besides, the beautiful, large, convenient campus really attracts me." After watching the video about UIC's Experiential Development Training, another Hong Kong student said excitedly that this Experiential Development Training was not only impressive and attractive but also helped to enhance the team spirit. She would like to choose to study at UIC because this is where she can get every access to explore herself physically, psychologically and intellectually.
As well as the reception meeting, a series of talks and problem-solving sessions were held to explain the questions from the visitors.
