UIC and ten enterprises of different industries from Zhuhai and Macao, including human resources, Internet, mass media, accounting, and service industries such as hotel and cinema, signed an agreement to cooperate on the internship and practice base construction on 21 April. This agreement will provide UIC students with more internship opportunities.

Deputy Director of the bureau of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao affairs of Zhuhai, Mr Chen Zheyuan; the Deputy Director of the human resources and social security bureau of Zhuhai, Mr Li Bangyao; Deputy Director of the science and technology innovation bureau, Mr Zhuo Yingqiang; Director of the employment service department of the human resources and employment service centre, Mr Chen Xianfeng; President of UIC, Prof Tang Tao; Vice President (Academic) of UIC, Prof Huang Huaxiong; Vice President (Administration) of UIC, Prof Mao Yaqing; and the Associate Vice President (Student Development) of UIC, Prof Stella Cho attended the ceremony.

President Prof Tang said that enterprises could gain quality talent resources and innovative opportunities from the cooperation during the agreement-signing ceremony. Also, the cooperation will provide university students internships and work opportunities as preparation for their future careers.

He hopes that UIC can establish contact with various companies to contribute to the development of Zhuhai and the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

According to Mr Li Bangyao, it is an excellent start to construct the internship and social practice base. He believes it will broaden students' horizons and improve their overall quality, bringing more talent resources to the enterprises and boost employment and social development.

According to Mr Xin Zhanhua, general manager of the Sanjiang Human Resources Service Centre in Hengqin, Zhuhai attracts talented young people from everywhere in the world. The city is trying to providing job opportunities to talents, which will also boost the development of enterprises.

Dr Ding Liqiang presented on the site as a representative of the enterprise. According to Dr Ding, deputy general manager of Friend to Friends e-commerce Co., Ltd, college-enterprises cooperation aims to promote enterprises' development by education. He hopes to establish long-term cooperation with UIC and make contributions to society together.
The ten enterprises participating in the internship and social practice base construction are from Zhuhai and Macao. This agreement will provide internship opportunities to UIC's students in various industries, with an estimated 40 internship positions available for this summer vacation.
