Sun Yat-sen Memorial Secondary School launched a mathematics workshop with UIC President Prof Tang Tao, a Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences, to enhance the School's education in maths.

The workshop aims to offer professional advice and guidance to the School's teachers, improving their research abilities and teaching methods in the mathematics course, arousing young talents' interest in the subject by providing higher teaching quality for students.
Prof Tang Tao shared his understanding of maths with students at the launching ceremony. In his opinion, maths was a subject full of potential. It had pumped up the development of technology and the evolution of art. Maths and art were indispensable complements to each other. There was maths to be seen in many masterpieces, while there was art in the beauty of maths.
