UIC students shared their voluntary experiences at the 14th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (AirShow China 2022) held in Zhuhai in November 2022.

Lin Bojun

2020 graduate of UIC’s Applied Economics (AE) Programme

Pursuing a Doctoral degree in Business Administration at Macau University of Science and Technology

Researcher of the Youth Department at the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Aviation Exchange Association

Bojun was in command, dispatch, and operation work at the VIP exhibition hall. For Bojun, it was great to have a chance to see Chengdu J-20, J-16 multirole fighter, COMAC919 and other planes. He also felt glad to work with other UIC students at the AirShow.

Lu Yunyi

2020 cohort of the Culture, Creativity and Management (CCM) Programme

Yunyi was a receptionist at an exhibition stand which allowed her to combine knowledge learnt from her major courses and English capabilities. She was also responsible for taking photographs. Conducting multiple works improved her executive capability.

Liu Leijun

2020 cohort of the Environmental Science (ENVS) Programme

Having browsed military magazines and videos since young, Leijun is curious about military equipment. His duty at the AirShow was to record exciting and memorable moments using a camera. He was impressed by the show and proud to witness the change over the years.

Du Jingqiu

2020 cohort of the Statistics (STAT) Programme

Jingqiu has loved aerospace equipment since childhood and was delighted to volunteer to provide services for visitors, including reception, consultation, and guide. He describes the experience as a meaningful practice during his college life.

Chen Xingyu

2020 cohort of the Applied Economics (AE) Programme

Through this exhibition, Xingyu watched splendid aerobatic flights and experienced the hardship of being a volunteer in big events. This incredible experience enriched her life at UIC and made an unforgettable memory for her.
