A ceremony to inaugurate student organisation officers and award star interest clubs was held on 29 November 2022.
Associate Vice President (Student Development), Prof Stella Cho, said in her speech that participating in student organisations can foster and improve students' leadership and interpersonal communication competence. She encouraged student organisations to think out of the box, which can help them tackle challenges better.
Then, representatives of student organisations took a solemn oath in the presence of the teachers, promising to faithfully fulfil their obligations, to do their best to serve all students' interests and contribute to the campus culture of UIC.

To show recognition and encouragement to different types of clubs, many interest clubs are given various awards. For instance, the Excellent Activities Prize praises and motivates clubs to hold more excellent and unique activities.

Wang Ziye, the president of the 16th Executive Committee of the UIC Student Union, spoke on behalf of all the members of UIC student organisations and summarised the expectations and goals of the future development of the student organisations.
"We will respond to the needs of students timely, protect the rights of students, create a more convenient way of communication connecting the College and students, and jointly move towards a better future of UIC," she said.
