UIC’s Centre for Teaching and Learning organised the 3rd Innovative Teaching Contest, with 11 teams from the Faculties and Schools participating. The results were released in December 2022 and four winning teams were chosen to vie in the Guangdong session of the National Teaching Innovation Contest.
UIC President, Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences Prof Tang Tao commented that UIC’s faculty can be divided into two types, one is teaching-oriented and the other is research-oriented. He encouraged teachers to innovate their teaching methods and approaches through this competition.

Three of the four teams are of the Faculty of Science and Technology, the team members are: Su Weifeng, Deng Yuhui, Zhao Jing and He Jing; Deng Yuhui, Su Weifeng, Wu Jingjin and Hu Jia; Yang Jingwei and Meng Rui. Another winning team is of the School of Culture and Creativity, formed by Jiang Wei, Rao Ruiling and Li Yang.

A speech themed “Empowerment on Faculty Professional Development through Contests” was given by Director of the Research Centre for Higher Education of the Guangdong Academy of Education, Dr Sun Lixin before the competition.
