International scholars on Whitehead's Process Philosophy

UIC and Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhuhai co-hosted an international symposium on Whitehead's Process Philosophy and its Contemporary Relevance at UIC in November 2022. The symposium was held online and offline, and nearly 50 scholars and guests from home and abroad attended the meeting.

Discussions were on The Principle of Relativity and related issues in natural philosophy, especially the nature of space and time. 

Professor Guo Haipeng, Associate Dean of the School of General Education at UIC, gave his opinion on Whitehead's view by combining Einstein's theory of relativity.

Professor Hon Tze-ki, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS), as the host of the conference, spoke highly of the contemporary significance of Whitehead's research on natural philosophy in his summary speech, adding that it is of great significance to promote academic exchanges between the East and the West.
