UIC students crowned at national fintech innovation competition

Two UIC students, Tu Wenjun and Long Zeji, both of the Faculty of Business and Management (FBM), won first prize with the first overall score nationwide at the ICBC FinTech Innovation Competition for National College Students with their teammate Wei Yuxuan from Tongji University. The team was guided by Dr Zhan Ge of FBM.

Over 49,000 participants from 1,100 universities of the nation contended for the honours. A total of 53 universities in Guangdong participated in the competition this year, and the UIC team was the only one that made it to the national semi-finals and finals.
