FHSS FYP Exhibition showcases students' research on social issues

UIC's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS) held an exhibition to showcase the Final Year Projects (FYP) of undergraduate and master's degree students from seven majors and concentrations, of which 71 pieces of work were graded as outstanding.

Associate Dean for Teaching and Learning of FHSS Prof John Corbett congratulated students for completing their FYP successfully and encouraged them to master what they have learned at the College and generate creative ideas in the age of AI.

Best FYPs and Award-Winning Projects

Student representatives introduced their FYPs to the audience, sharing their pains and gains.

Zhong Yifan of the Applied Translation Studies Programme studied the national image in documentary translation, and she believes that the FYP has improved her academic writing and time management skills, which has greatly benefited her.

An Yingru of the English Language and Literature Studies Programme focused on cross-cultural communication of social media celebrities, and she said that students of her programme do not just study language, they can also learn interdisciplinary knowledge.
