Lingnan University council visit UIC for GBA opportunities

A delegation from the Council of Lingnan University in Hong Kong visited UIC on 8 July 2023 to learn more about the university and explore opportunities for collaboration.

The visiting delegation was led by the Chairman of Lingnan University Council Mr Yao Cho Fai Andrew, BBS, JP, and President Designate and Acting President Professor S. Joe Qin.

Mr Yao said that UIC has made many achievements after 18 years of development and he hoped to deepen the understanding of institutions in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and promote extensive cooperation through this visit.

Vice President (Administration) Prof Mao Yaqing said that Lingnan University, which pursues the concept of liberal arts education, has many similarities with UIC, and looked forward to further communication between the two institutions.

The visiting guests visited UIC's campus and exchanged views on faculty recruitment, graduation destinations, and entrepreneurship support at a meeting.
