A delegation of deputies to the National People's Congress in Guangdong arrived in Zhuhai and visited UIC on 14 September 2023. The delegation learnt about education enhancement on technological innovation, talent cultivation and talent hub construction in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and UIC was the first stop.
UIC Provost Prof Patrick Chau received the visiting guests. UIC Party Secretary of the College Party Committee, Vice President (Administration) Prof Mao Yaqing introduced the College's operation and educational philosophy, and UIC Vice President (Research and Development), Dean of Graduate School Prof Jia Weijia introduced the innovative development and achievements of UIC's labs.

The guests were led to UIC's labs and other facilities, getting an all-rounded understanding of UIC's history and outcomes in talent cultivation and technological and educational innovation.
