On 10th August, 2006, Ms. Karin Wells, the International coordinator of the University of Wollongong, visited UIC. Mr. Gary S. Linebarger, Prof. Sarker, and Ms. Anna Li, Deputy Director of International Section of UIC all attended the meeting. Mr. Linebarger briefly introduced UIC and Ms. Wells gave a description of the University of Wollongong as well. She and Ms. Anna Li discussed the possibility of establishing a relationship between the two universities and how they would follow up the establishment in the near future.
