The UIC Scholarship Presentation Ceremony for the Academic Year 2020-2021 was held on 8 December 2021. This year, the total amount and awardees mark another high. Nineteen types of scholarships, amounting to over 18 million yuan, were awarded to 2,170 recipients.
UIC President Prof Tang Tao shared some recent achievements of UIC and thanked all the donors of scholarships, some of whom are UIC alumni. Prof Tang said that for a young college like UIC, the support from its alumni shows the strong bond between the college and its graduates.

The awardee representative Yin Jiaying (Statistics Programme, 2018 cohort), winner of the National Scholarship and the Dean’s Award, gave a speech to express gratitude. She mentioned that thanks to the interdisciplinary research approach she learned at UIC, she published a paper at an international academic conference as the first author.
