Many opportunities in the local job market are coming to the city of Zhuhai and the Pearl River Delta region. UIC held the 2nd Career Expo on 10 March to encourage the students to work in enterprises from local and nearby cities, which provide exhibitions, counselling, career seminars, as well as interviews sessions.
A total of 28 enterprises joined the expo, including Chimelong, Huafa, Marriott International, Dell, Flex Ltd, Walmart, and MTU Maintenance. Over 300 job vacancies were offered.
Many students handed in their resumes during the expo. Ms Lu Huanying, a human resource staff member from Singyes Solar, showed her interest in UIC students for their foreign languages competency and broad visions. She added that they would benefit from these traits when exploring overseas markets.
