This is UIC’s eighth academic year, and the highest initial enrolment so far. This year’s students come from many different places in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other countries such as Korea and America.

Ms. Shi Yijing from Xinjiang said she is very pleased to be a student at UIC. Here the college provides a platform for academic communication between mainland China, Hong Kong and other parts of the world, she added.

In the orientation week, a series of welcoming activities were held for freshmen students to familiarize them with programme curricula and academic regulations, to help them adjust to a new student life and campus safety, and to introduce themselves to other fellow students.

Between September 1 and 8, the English Language Centre organised an eight-day English Enhancement Programme to help the new students to quickly adapt to UIC’s English-speaking environment.

The College’s unique philosophy of Whole Person and Four Point Education were also introduced to parents by the President, Vice Presidents, Deans and Directors at the Parents Forum and High Table Dinner.
