On December 7th, Mr. Wang Qingli, the Deputy Mayor of Zhuhai, gave speech at UIC. He confirmed UIC’s important mission of cultivating talents in Zhuhai’s future development. He said that Zhuhai determined to develop into the technological and ecological core city of PRD of China, and the government will continuously concern and support the development of UIC.

In his speech, Mr. Wang highly appreciated UIC’s achievements after its birth. " UIC is not only a brave exploration of internationalization of China’s high education, but also a great model of educational communication and cooperation between Guangdong, HK and Macao. UIC’s exploration and success is quite significant to enhance the economic and cultural exchange between these three regions. Though underwent so much hardship, UIC developed a lot, under the guidance of Mr Xu Jialu, the Former Vice Chairman of NPC and the Chairman of UIC Concil and Prof. Ng Ching-Fai, President of UIC. With its unique features of Liberal Arts Education, Whole Person Education, Four-Points Education and international pattern, UIC has become an influential university with integrated strength and academic level. More importantly, now UIC is officially granted by the Ministry of Education and the Education Bureau of Guangdong, becoming an important brand of Zhuhai’s high education,” said Mr. Wang.
On December 7th, Mr. Wang presented and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the Committee of the Chinese Communist Party of Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University International College.
