In order to make Frisbee more popular in campus, with several months’ preparation, the 1st UIC Frisbee Challenge was held at BNU Football Field on March 3, 2012.
Six teams representing Financial Program (FIN), Statistics Program (STAT), Computer Science and Technology Program (CST), Management of Human Resources Program (MHR), teachers of English Language and Culture Center (ELC/TA) and Beijing Normal University (BNU) joined the competition, which drew a lot of spectators.
The Organizing Committee offered some necessary training to all teams, including playing techniques, competition tactics, and rules of the game.
In the competition, every participant was eager to show his skills and tried to make a memorable mark in the game. Even green hands fought courageously and won respect from rivals.
The final was between the ELC/TA Team and the FIN Team, and the teachers took the championship by a single point advantage. The CST team was in 3rd place, with BNU, MHR, and STAT teams following.
