Special Function Room----Physical and Mental Health Center
The activity center is filled with modern flavor, with bright and spacious space, making people relaxed and delighted. In the hall stands a new stage for student clubs activities and various lectures. In addition, a café designed as ring shape around with sofas and chairs can provide students a resting place. Prof. Huang Kuangzhong indicated that UIC has been advocated the educational concepts of diversification and experiencing. To realize it, UIC has to offer a platform for communications between students and teachers internally even other schools externally. “UIC has always longed for such a platform but was limited by the lack of space. Now thanks to the removal of the old library, we can have a student activity center.” he added.
Prof. Huang particularly mentioned the most special function room, the physical and mental health center. Being equipped with wooden floor and walls in the form of large mirrors, the room owns a warm color and becomes a good place for students to relax. In the coming days, there will be relaxation activities scheduled for students’ free access.

In addition, the activity center holds more functions. The door of the center, for example, is newly-built to connect with UIC’s front gate, and also to be used as a waiting room. And the interview room (for rent to students to have exclusive interview and photographing), games room, café, takeaway and other districts all meet the needs of students.
The majority of the interviewed students were affirmative and curious when talking about the activity center.

Student Dong from International Journalism expressed her hope that the center can be a diversified platform, providing a new place for learning, relaxation as well as club activities. She also said she will look for chance to experience the center.
Student Liu, a member of Dream Safari Charity Society was excited when she visited the activity center, saying that it is close to the teaching building and its dinning tables and chairs make it convenient to students who have no enough time for noon break. With this center students can spend more time on their study instead of on the road.
Majoring in Finance, student Chan said in the interview that the renovation and reopen of A-Zone is fully humanized, which can be seen in the design of the center as well as the function areas. He thought the new center will certainly be full of vitality and in better service for teachers and students.
Besides, clubs and students are welcome to the function rooms with reservation or download the application form from the UIC website.
