The closing ceremony of The Second Zhuhai English Teacher Training Programme was held on August 25th at Room B101. With wonderful shows of poem recitation, drama, and demonstration class, the trainees presented brilliant performance after 20 days of immersive training. Most participants described the training as an effective one that highly improved their English level.

In the closing speech, Prof. Zee said he was deeply impressed by their professional skills and devoted spirit to education. He said that as the first Liberal Arts university in Mainland China, UIC is always willing to share educational resources with the public. Aiming at promoting lifelong learning, UIC’s CAPS (Center for Advanced Profession Studies) is especially built to provide various professional and academic trainings to the public of all ages.

A trainee teacher from Zhuhai Experimental Middle School expressed positive evaluation. Firstly they got the chance to know the original British style teaching method, which refrain them from typical Chinese way; secondly their English abilities of listening, speaking, and writing have been dramatically enhanced through direct communication with foreign teachers; last but not the least, teachers from different schools met each other and became friends, they can have further communication afterwards.
