The poll lasted from 9 am to 8 pm on the 19th. Vote counting was held immediately after. Seven members of the Election Committee counted the votes under supervision of the teachers from the Students Affairs Office and representatives from the three nominated cabinets. The counting process was also recorded in video filmed by students of Cinema and Television Program.

It was the first time for UIC to adopt the cabinet system in student union election. The three nominated cabinets were formed by students freely and organized their election campaigns independently. A public debate was held on Dec12.
