9 September 2006, 14 visitors from several universities in Hong Kong were visiting UIC

On 9 September 2006, 14 visitors who graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University, Lingnan University and Yanjing University visited UIC.

First, the visitors were shown around Beijing Normal University's Zhuhai campus. They felt very interested in the campus and asked many questions about the students' life such as about the dormitory, library and UIC's new location.

After this campus tour, all of the visitors gathered in a meeting room. Prof. Hockings, Acting Dean of Humanities & Social Sciences and Professor of Anthropology, briefly introduced the background, and Whole Person Education approach at UIC. Mrs. Maria SHING, Deputy Director of Student Affairs Office and Dr. Vincent Kwan also gave descriptions of UIC’s status quo and communicated with the visitors. A video made by CCTV 4 recording UIC's growth was played to give the visitors a better understanding of our College. Videos about students' life and in particular the Experiential Training Programme and Yunnan Volunteering Programme were also played at the meeting. Ms. Esther Luk, a Student Counselor, explained how Experiential Training and Yunnan Volunteering Programme had influenced the students, putting something memorable into our students' whole life.

After the meeting, the visitors were showed Exhibition Board made by UIC students, including the pictures of Experiential Training Programme and Yunnan Volunteering Programme, and students’ expression after taking part in the two programmes. They were deeply impressed by such activities.
