In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's series of important instructions on domestic waste classification, the country has carried out waste classification work at full speed.
To implement the related decision of the central government and the relevant arrangements of the provinces and cities, i.e., "Notice of the Zhuhai Municipal People's Government on the Implementation Plan for the Classification of Urban and Rural Domestic Waste in Zhuhai City (2019-2021)", from June 1, 2021, Zhuhai City has officially implemented the "Zhuhai Special Economic Zone Domestic Waste Classification Management Regulations."
As educated staff and students in the university under this new era, we should set up a good example of practising the concept of green development and contributing to the building up of ecological civilization. Therefore, it is recommended that from March 1, 2022, our university will fully implement the following:
1) Act immediately to have good garbage sorting habits.
Take the initiative to learn the relevant knowledge of garbage classification, take the lead to develop a good habit of garbage classification; Follow the garbage classification rules on recyclable materials.
2) Publicize actively and be a civilized practitioner
In our daily life, besides practising garbage classification, please publicize and share with others your good practice and green life lifestyle actively.
3) Participate in voluntary work and cooperate with supervision work
We call on teachers and students, party members, student leaders, league members, and representatives of student associations to actively participate in the voluntary activities of garbage classification organized by the university. All staff and students are called on to cooperate with the on-site supervision of garbage classification supervisors, accurately classify and put garbage, and improve the classification efficiency.
The practice of garbage classification is to realize the level of urban civilization we can achieve. Garbage classification helps to achieve waste reduction, harmlessness and resource utilization, has social, economic and ecological benefits, and promotes the sustainable development of society.
A beautiful campus is our common home, and a comfortable environment needs to be created by everyone. Let us take action and set off a craze for garbage sorting, starting bit by bit and starting from ourselves!
The classification of domestic waste in the whole university will be implemented from March 1 (The first month is the trial run period), according to the regulations of the guidance of the Municipal Waste Classification Office, please pay attention:
1. Collect your garbage by category.
2. Move to the garbage collection point to standardize the garbage.
3. Save energy and protect the environment.
Garbage classification needs all to participate, and a beautiful campus needs everyone to create.
