UIC's 16th graduation ceremony took place on 20 and 21 June 2024. Around 2,000 undergraduate students and more than 1,000 postgraduate students, together with their families and friends, celebrated this important milestone. In addition, the public was able to share in the joyous occasion via a live video stream.

UIC President Prof Chen Zhi congratulated the graduates on the successful completion of their studies and expected them to continue carrying the spirit of liberal arts education into the future, keep exploring, and give back to society and the world what they have learned here. "As I look upon you today, I see the boundless potential within you. In this convergence of Chinese and Western cultures, your actions have the power to infuse the future with hope and shape the world to come," he said.

He also shared three advice with the graduates: First and foremost, embrace an open and inclusive mindset; secondly, persist in keeping up with the times and stride towards the world; and finally, embrace a global perspective to explore the world.
